Some of the best lessons in life can be found in the forest, by the river, in nature.

Walking down the rock-strewn dirt path.  Taking in views of the rushing waters.  Smelling that glorious pine scent.  And just look at those weird tree roots.  Are they cool, or what?!

Brings to mind the intricacies of God’s plan.  I mean…really, how can I dwell on things like typos and mistakes…when the adventure of my life is unfolding in real time?  I can trust God to take me where I need to go.

Let me explain.  I love signs about the history and science of the area I’m exploring.  But what if there’s a typo in the sign?  Come on, people, how can you put up a sign that has a typo in it?  I used to get pretty intense when I saw a typo.  Guess that would be the editor hat that I put on sometimes.

Well, this road is not Aksa Road—it’s Aska Road.  They should have “ask-a” me.  Ha!

So instead of getting sidetracked on my travels in the Aska area, I chose to ignore what didn’t matter…and focused on what did.

Know what?  That turned out to be an awesome day, filled with God’s grace and beauty.  Gorgeous river, foggy mountain views, and a rubber duck.

Huh?  After we finished a short hike and returned to Punk’n, we found this duck attached to her door handle.

And yep, that brought a smile to our face.  Can’t wait for the next adventure!!!!
