What is the water thinking about when it is ready to go over the falls? Does it fall back in fright at taking that final leap? Does it whimper and whine that it just can’t do it? Does it complain that those rocks are too much of a problem to surmount?
Well…a resounding N-O!!!
I believe that it is shouting to the world that nothing will keep it from reaching its objective.
And when it has reached the bottom of the falls, what then? It just keeps going. It flows. It flows around, over, or under each and every obstacle that it faces.
And what does a gnarled old tree have in common with that roaring creek? It puts out its roots. It finds a way. It does not let a rock or anything else keep it from finding its own flow.
Cool, huh? I love learning from the beauties of God’s wondrous creation. And I’m thinking that I should remember that thundering waterfall. That rushing, tumbling creek. Those twisty-turny old trees that just won’t give up.
Brings to mind these words…
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.” ~Psalm 1:1-4~
“Cast your burden on the LORD, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.” ~Psalm 55:22~
I can do this. God’s got this all in His very hands. With Him by my side and in my heart…
I Can Be Unstoppable!!!!
