Have you ever had a word or phrase that resonated deep inside your heart…and just wouldn’t leave?  Truth be told, I have had that experience many times.

Lately, I have been musing on two words from a beautiful Keith Green song, Asleep in the Light.  Those two simple words?  Come Away.

God has been calling me into a deeper, closer, personal relationship with Him.  The coolest thought is that He really wants me to Come Away With Him.  He is my Fortress.  I can rest in Him.  Retreat to His very presence.

I’ll admit it.  Sometimes the messiness of life can get the best of me.  Even Punk’n can’t keep the dirt off her chassis.  But is that such a bad thing?  I sure would hate to stop exploring, just because I am afraid of a little messy dirt.

It can get cold out there.  Icicle cold.  But the beauty of life can actually warm my heart.

Often there are friends to help.  Our neighbor’s cat, Prince, loves to assist our endeavors when he can.  We even find furry friends during our travels.  Do you think they like the bright orange of our Punk’n?

Sometimes the fungus and snails can be a nuisance.  I don’t think the trees like them too much.  But they sure make for a pretty cool photo shoot.  Where else can you find a pearl in a bed of oyster shells…when you’re walking in the forest?

Whatever life dishes out, God can make something beautiful out of it.  Even snails.  Even fungus.  Even dirt.  Even busyness.  Even…
