Adventure. A-D-V-E-N-T-U-R-E!!! Can’t help but love that word.
Yesterday was an incredible adventure. I let my husband drive my little Punk’n to the mountains with me. I knew it would be a beautiful day, because every day in the mountains is beautiful to me.
But this time, we were especially amazed by the awesome works of our Creator.
Down “below,” there was no snow, no ice, no frost…but in the distance we could see a line of snow and frost on the higher mountain peaks.
As we drove higher and higher, guess what?! We were in the midst of the most exquisite winter wonderland. The trees were covered with a layer of ice—and in some areas, there was snow all around.
It felt like we were in Narnia. No kidding! What a dreamland…and entirely unexpected.
But what if I had let my fears get in the way? What if I had said, “No way should we be driving somewhere that might have ice and snow. We might slide off the road and into the valley below—way, way below.”
I am so thankful to God for providing that beautiful winterscape for us!
I am glad that I embraced our unexpected adventure.
